Odour builds up where washing is hardest: inside boots, in a helmet lining, in gloves and in base layers. These three products are made for odour, not for dirt. One thing to be clear about from the start: none of them is a detergent and none of them is a disinfectant.

Which product for which situation?
Mountval Silver Freshness 315 ml for washable base layers and underwear, poured into the rinse compartment. Mountval Odour Absorber 100 ml for the inside of boots, insoles and tents. Mountval Helmet Clean & Fresh 100 ml for helmets, caps and gloves.
Why does the smell come back?
Because it is caused not by dirt but by substances and moisture left in the fibre. That is why freshening works best regularly and together with normal drying and airing.
What do these products not do?
They do not remove stains and they do not replace washing. If the item is dirty, a detergent or a cleaner comes first.

Are these products antibacterial?
We do not use that claim. The manufacturer states odour neutralisation and silver nanoparticles, but without separate biocidal substantiation that is not a disinfectant.
Can you spray it on a helmet visor?
Only as the label allows and only after testing a small area. Visor coatings differ a lot, and the anti-fogging effect is a manufacturer claim, not a confirmed function.
How often should you use it?
Between full washes or cleanings, whenever the smell comes back. Regular use works better than a one-off.
